Mochas are my weakness, decaf of course. Because I do not always have the time nor the cash to stop in the coffee shop to get one I started doing this. I am sure I am not the only one who does this but thought I would share.
Ingredients
Brewed Coffee
Instant Hot Chocolate Mix
Milk
Pumpkin Spice
All you have to do is make the Hot Chocolate as it suggests on the package and instead of using water or milk, use the brewed coffee. I usually do this in the afternoon and use the coffee that is left over from the morning.
Add a splash of milk and there you have a mocha. If you desire a Mexi-Mocha, which is usually made with a spiced chocolate just add some pumpkin spice or cinnamon. Yummy!

Recipe-French Vanilla Creamer, my version
In my quest to replace packaged foods with healthier versions I found a recipe for French Vanilla Creamer. I tried it and it was very sweet so I modified it a little.
French Vanilla Creamer
1 - 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
28 oz milk, any kind 1 %, 2%, whole, it is your choice
3 teaspoons real vanilla extract (imitation leaves a funny taste, I think)
Put in all in a mason jar (quart should be big enough). shake it, mix, do whatever you need to do to get the milk and condensed milk to blend together. Refrigerate, put in your coffee and ENJOY! We usually go through a jar a week so I am not sure how long it is good for, at least a week ;)
While the first few days you will notice a difference from your normal store bought creamer but as the days pass you will feel better over all. NO hydrogenated anything, just sugar, milk and vanilla.
I am seeking a recipe for sweetened condensed milk...anyone wanna share?

Cream of Something Soup Mix
Thank you Pinterest and Vicki at One Orange Draft Blog for sharing this recipe with us here in cyber land. I have been on a quest to take my cooking habits back to basics, hoping to create healthy meals for my family while saving money. This recipe for Cream of Something Soup is wonderful! I did double up the dried milk and corn starch for a low salt version of the original recipe found at http://1orangegiraffe.blogspot.com/2011/07/anything-you-wanna-call-it-casserole.html?showComment=1310864846151#c3489139395376988271. Last night we made a delicious chicken and dumplings with it!
Cream of Something Soup
1 cup non fat dried milk (I doubled)
3/4 cup cornstarch (I doubled)
1/2 cup bouillon (any flavor, cubes need to be crushed up)
4 tbsp mined onions
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp pepper
